Dongguk University provides a world-class education that bridges East and West on many levels. Founded in 1906 by the ecumenically minded Jogye Order in Korea, Dongguk remains one of the few Buddhist affiliated universities in the world.
Yet its door has always been opened to students and scholars of all faiths and philosophies. Students and professors from around the globe enhance the quality of education on the three Dongguk campuses (Seoul, Gyeongju and Ilsan) by bringing together diverse life experiences and cultures in the common educational missions.
